Head to Independence Mall (Arch Street between 5th & 6th Streets) for Wawa Hoagie Day on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at noon. Enjoy a complimentary Wawa Shorti hoagie while enjoying live music from retired military quartet Voices of Service. Free all-day admission to the nearby National Constitution Center is also included. As a bonus, the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band performs a free concert on Independence Mall following the hoagie giveaway.

Mark your calendars for the Red, White, & Blue To-Do in Philadelphia’s Historic District on Thursday, July 2. On this date in 1776, John Adams called for “pomp and parade” to mark the Continental Congress’s historic vote for independence, and Philadelphia delivers just that across America’s most historic square mile. The day’s festivities include the Red, White, & Blue To-Do Pomp & Parade and the All-American Block Party. Additionally, the Independence Folk Festival features free music throughout the neighborhood, happy hours, and extended hours at historic sites. Cap off the evening with the Salute to Service concert on Independence Mall.
America’s 250th Birthday Vintage Cake Decorating Workshop

Sweet Occasions is hosting a hands-on cake decorating class on July 2nd, 2026, where guests will create a stunning red, white, and blue vintage-style cake just in time for Fourth of July celebrations. At $75 per ticket, an expert cake decorator will guide participants through piping and fondant sculpting techniques, with all tools and materials provided—plus a choice of chocolate, vanilla, or funfetti cake flavor. Chalfont Borough, New Britain Borough, and New Britain Township invite the community to celebrate the spirit of independence at their Annual 4th of July Parade. This event honors the nation’s history with a day filled with excitement, pride, and community togetherness.

Independence Day Celebration 2026 at Washington Crossing

Washington Crossing Historic Park invites families to celebrate Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of America’s founding on Saturday, July 4, 2026. This event features a Revolutionary War encampment, craft demonstrations, children’s activities, live music, and a fireworks display over the Delaware River.
The Living History Program (4–8 pm) requires a ticket; cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children (5–11), and $30 for family tickets. The evening concert and fireworks begin at 8 pm are free and open to the public. Food trucks and a concession stand will be on-site throughout the event, with all concession proceeds supporting educational programming at the park.
