How to Host Your Own Egg Hunt

• Gather your supplies – You’ll need plastic eggs. A trip to the Dollar Store or Target or the local craft store is a great place to find these. Consider how many kids you’ll be inviting so that everyone gets their fair share (a minimum of 6 eggs per child is a good place to start). The other important thing is what you’ll stuff those eggs with! If you’ve got a lot of toddlers, we recommend checking out this list of non-candy ideas. Stamps, stickers, anything that won’t stick to their little teeth!
• Call your friends – You can be as simple or as fancy as you want. Send them a text, giving them the time and the date or you can create a holiday-themed Evite. Again, it’s important to consider how many kids will be there and make sure there’s enough eggs for everyone! Once you have your RSVP list, see if anyone would like together beforehand to help fill the eggs. 
• Hide the eggs – You would think this is the easy part but it can be tricky wrangling all the kids inside so they don’t see this process! Designate a parent to keep an eye on the kids while the other grownups hide the eggs so they don’t see all those awesome hiding spots you find. 
• Let the children loose! – If there’s a big decrepency in ages, try giving the little ones a head start before the older kids. Or tell everyone ahead of time how many eggs each child is allowed.
