Amy’s journey to becoming a small business advocate began with a bold decision to leave her prestigious job in the aerospace and defense industry. “Without any type of plan, I left corporate America to start Buxmont Social,” Amy recalls. This leap of faith was driven by a desire to balance family life with meaningful work. “I wanted to be home to put my son to bed at night, and to be able to be there for all his special moments,” she explains.

A Mission Rooted in Community

Amy’s passion for small businesses is evident in her company’s mission. “I think small businesses are the cornerstone of our communities,” she states. Her motivation stems from a desire to protect these vital community pillars from predatory marketing practices. “I was tired of seeing big marketing companies and people who think that social media is a get rich quick profession taking advantage of small business owners,” Amy shares.

During our first conversation, she told me she only had enough money to keep her business open for two more months…tops.” Through Amy’s guidance and a carefully crafted marketing plan, this business not only survived but thrived, opening a second location two years later.

Amy’s influence extends beyond her client base.
