Halloween Events for Young Kids

The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place

100 Sesame Road, Langhorne
Dates: September 19–November 1, 2026 | Select Dates

Sesame Place Philadelphia transforms into a not-too-spooky play land for The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular. Little ones can dress up in costume to meet Sesame Street friends (who are dressed in their Halloween costumes), go trick-or-treating, enjoy seasonal shows and parades, decorate pumpkins, and explore Halloween-themed attractions.

Trick-or-Treat Train at New Hope Railroad

32 W. Bridge St., New Hope
Dates: October 3-31, 2026 | Saturdays, Sundays and Select Fridays

New Hope Railroad’s Trick-or-Treat Excursion takes families on a Halloween-themed train ride from New Hope to Lahaska and back. Kids are encouraged to wear costumes, and they receive trick-or-treat bags filled with treats and goodies along the journey. There is also additional trick-or-treating at the station when the train returns.

Boo at the Elmwood Zoo

1661 Harding Blvd., Norristown, PA 
Dates: October 3–November 1, 2026 | Weekends

In nearby Montgomery County, the Elmwood Park Zoo invites little ghouls and goblins to its annual Boo at the Elmwood Zoo — a fun and festive Halloween celebration with a straw maze, live music, and games, plus drink specials for the grown-ups. On October 30, trick-or-treating will be offered from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

Halloween Events for Teens

There’s a reason M. Night Shyamalan chose Bucks County as the backdrop for several of his horror films, including The Village and Old. With winding country roads, shadowy woods and sprawling cornfields, the area has all the makings of a Halloween movie set. From haunted hayrides and eerie trails to attractions where costumed actors lurk around every corner, these Halloween events are made for teens in search of a good fright.

Dracula’s Lair: Immortal

New Hope Eagle Fire Company, 46 N Sugan Road, New Hope
Dates: October 23, 24, 30 & 31, 2026

Enter Dracula’s Lair for an immersive Halloween experience combining a haunted walking tour, live dance theater, professional dancers, theatrical effects, and authentic vampire relics. Presented by the Roxy Ballet Company, the experience takes guests through Dracula’s cursed domain before culminating in a live dance performance. Tours begin at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 pm. Note: This experience is recommended for ages 8 and up.

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres

881 Highland Road, Newtown
Dates: September 26–October 31, 2026 | Select Dates

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres brings three haunted attractions together on a 230-acre farm in Newtown: the Sleepy Hollow Hayride, the House in the Hollow haunted house, and the Field of Fright. After you’ve screeched and screamed your way through the attractions, warm up around a bonfire and enjoy live music. Tickets are available for individual attractions or all three.

Valley of Fear & Original Haunted Hayride

301 W Bristol Road, Feasterville
Dates: September 25–November 1, 2026 | Saturdays, Sundays and Select Fridays

Valley of Fear returns for its 36th season with three haunted attractions: the Original Haunted Hayride, Escape Shipwreck Cove, and Miles Manor Haunted House. The 2026 season features new sets and designs throughout the attractions.

Night Chills Haunted Hayride, Corn Walk of Horror & Haunted Hay Maze at Winding Brook Farm

3014 Bristol Road, Warrington

By day, Winding Brook Farm is a classic fall destination, with a pumpkin patch and corn maze for families to explore. But when night falls, the farm gets seriously spooky with three haunted attractions: the Night Chills Haunted Hayride, Corn Walk of Horror, and Haunted Hay Maze: Genesis.

Ghost Tours of New Hope

Main and W Ferry streets, New Hope
Dates: September, October, and November 2026 | Select Dates

Take a lantern-lit walk through the historic streets of New Hope while hearing true tales of local hauntings, mysterious happenings and the town’s former residents. The approximately one-hour tour covers about a mile and departs from the corner of Main and Ferry streets, next to the Benjamin Parry Mansion.

Historic Langhorne Association Ghost Tours

160 W Maple Ave., Langhorne
Dates: October 9-25 | Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays

Explore the darker side of Langhorne’s history on a guided walking ghost tour through the historic borough. Tours depart at 7 and 9:15 pm and last just under two hours. Note: These tours are recommended for ages 8 and up. 

The Paranormal Experience

Poco’s Restaurant – 625 N Main St., Doylestown
Dates: October 8 and October 22–29, 2026

Explore unexplained phenomena and paranormal stories during this immersive theatrical experience. It’s an alternative to the traditional haunted house for teens and adults who prefer paranormal entertainment and storytelling.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Broad Commons Park – Doyle Street, Doylestown
Date: October 7, 2026

For older teens who can handle some very suggestive humor — and aren’t likely to get squeamish watching it with their parents — catch a showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Broad Commons Park in Doylestown on October 7. Bring your own blankets, chairs, and snacks, but leave the toilet paper and rice at home, as the traditional props are (unfortunately) prohibited at this showing.

Note: While the Bucks County Playhouse has made the cult classic a Halloween-season tradition in recent years, the production is taking a break in 2026. Instead, the theater is presenting Rock of Ages this fall.

Haunted Halloween Drive-In

Baldwins Creek Farm – 68 NJ-31, Pennington, NJ 08534.

Previously hosted in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, the Haunted Halloween Drive-In has a new location in nearby Pennington, New Jersey. This immersive Halloween attraction combines the nostalgia of a drive-in movie theater with creepy characters, eerie scenes, and plenty of spooky surprises along the way.

Looking for something the whole family can enjoy? These Halloween events offer a little bit of magic, mischief, and seasonal fun for all ages.

Canal-O-Ween

Delaware Canal, Yardley
Dates: October 25–31, 2026

Hundreds of hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns light up the Delaware Canal during Canal-O-Ween, a free annual event in Yardley. Stroll the canal to see the intricately carved pumpkins and enjoy snacks and drinks sold by select vendors. Before or afterward, grab a bite to eat in downtown Yardley.

FallFest After Dark at Shady Brook Farm

931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley
Dates: September 11–October 30, 2026 | Select Dates

Shady Brook Farm gets a little spooky after dark — but not too spooky. FallFest admission includes Eerie Illuminations, a Halloween light show that begins at dusk, plus a Moonlit Maze, Haunted Barn, Alien Encounter, pumpkin patch, bonfires, and live music on select evenings. It’s a good middle ground for families with kids who want Halloween atmosphere without the actors and scares of a traditional haunted attraction.

Memory Maker’s Trail of Magic

Lambertville, NJ
Dates: October 1–31, 2026

Lambertville is technically in Hunterdon County, but because it’s just across the bridge from New Hope in Bucks County — and because it’s especially festive at Halloween — we couldn’t omit this one. Plus, there’s a unique story here.

For years, local artist Dolores Dragan has transformed her Lambertville home into an elaborate Halloween display, filling it with intricate, hand-crafted characters and decorations. Her creativity has even caught national attention, with her home featured on HGTV’s Four Homes back in 2013. In recent years, she has entrusted her (growing) spooky art collection to the Lambertville Creative Arts Fund, which stewards her creations as the Memory Maker’s Trail of Magic.

In October, the Memory Maker’s Trail of Magic transforms Lambertville into an enchanting Halloween town, with Dragan’s creepy, whimsical creations appearing in storefronts, community spaces and homes throughout the city. On a crisp fall evening, grab the family and stroll through town on a self-guided adventure. A free audio tour is also available.
