Celebrate Your Child’s Next Birthday in One of These Outdoor Spaces

Whether your little one is interested in a laid-back pool party or an outdoor adventure, these birthday party places in Bucks County rise to the occasion. Let the greenery at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve or the glittering lake behind Peace Valley Nature Center serve as the backdrop for your child’s next celebration

AGA Farms

1333 Elephant Road, Perkasie

AGA Farms is one of those charming family farms that’s actually a family farm. The same brood that launched it back in 1980 ensures that AGA stays true to its roots by doing a few things really well—including pumpkins and parties.

Weekday parties in the warmer months include a hay ride around the sprawling property and a private tent to enjoy food and drink. Say hello to the resident pony or take a tour of the pumpkin patch after your pizza and cake.

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve

1635 River Road, New Hope

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve recently earned a coveted spot on one of USA Today’s 10 BEST Reader’s Choice Awards lists. Step into its 134-acre preserve and you’ll instantly understand why.

Nature-loving kiddos will enjoy visiting the pond where turtles sun themselves and exploring the forest of native plants. Pack food and drink to make a party of it—the Captain James Moore Pavilion is always open to guests for a picnic, though you also have the option to reserve it for a private party.

Hellerick’s Adventure Farm

5500 Easton Road, Doylestown

To call Hellerick’s simply a “farm” is a bit of an understatement. It’s really more of a fresh-air family amusement park with everything from a ropes course to mini golf.

When you plan a party here, Hellerick’s takes care of everything except the cake. That includes pizza, drinks, and a semi-private picnic area. All you have to do is come ready to enjoy hay rides, giant slides, and even an obstacle course. All that fun makes it one of the top party venues in Doylestown.

Menlo Aquatics Center

425 Arthur Avenue, Perkasie

Menlo Aquatics Center received a major upgrade in the 2000s, taking it from a typical community pool to something closer to a water park, right in the heart of Perkasie.

With three pools, a lazy river, a whirlpool, a set of waterslides, and an aquatic playground, it has something to keep all ages busy. Plan a three-hour party here and your guests will enjoy free admission to the pool, along with a reserved picnic area. Add in food from their kitchen for an extra fee, or you can BYO.

Peace Valley Nature Center

170 Chapman Road, Doylestown

Peace Valley Park wraps around sparkling Galena Lake, complete with a labyrinth of hiking trails, playgrounds, and a looping paved walking path.

Its Nature Center hosts celebrations fit for outdoorsy kids, including nature-themed activities and guided hikes. For something less structured, rent the pavilion next to the Lake View North Playground and enjoy stunning views as you chow down on pizza and cake.

Shady Brook Farm

931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

The Party Barn at Shady Brook Farm serves as a rustic setting for celebrations on the sprawling property. Since it’s covered, you can party rain or shine with a fully catered fête.

You can also rent a private party site tent, complete with picnic tables. After enjoying dinner and cake, pint-sized party guests can go outside for a hayride, greet the resident animals, or run around on the playground.

The beautiful arboretum in Newtown invites you to deck out one of its pavilions with decor and a themed picnic spread for a youngster’s party. Bring along a few lawn games to play after cake or or plan a scavenger hunt in the woods.

Warminster Community Park

300 Veterans Way, Warminster

Guests will want to bring their bikes and basketballs to a party at Warminster Community Park. It’s known for Safety Town, a kid-sized city complete with little businesses and roads on which kids can ride bikes and scooters.
