Juneteenth Celebrations Around Bucks County
Celebrate Juneteenth at one of these events happening throughout Bucks County in 2025

Officially recognized as a federal holiday in 2021, Juneteenth has steadily gained recognition as a popular day of celebration in June, in addition to Father’s Day.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the date when Union soldiers freed the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas. Many people, especially Black Americans, consider the holiday our second “independence day” and celebrate accordingly.
Join the celebration — around Bucks County, you’ll find everything from parades and historical reenactments, to African-inspired programming and musical performances. And for even more ways to celebrate this Juneteenth, explore the Main Line Parent and Philadelphia Family event calendars.
