YMCA Camp Mason

Description

For more than 125 years, YMCA Camp Mason has welcomed campers to be a part of our community. Like you, we believe your child deserves the opportunity to continue to discover who they are and what they can achieve. If you are considering overnight camp, here are some compelling reasons to choose YMCA Camp Mason.

Your Child will Build Independence and Confidence: On the first day of camp, your child will try something they were nervous about. By the end of the week, they will be teaching it to someone else! Being away from home helps them realize that they can handle new challenges, boosting their self-esteem and confidence.

Your Child will Make Friends: On the second day of camp, your kid will sit at lunch
with someone they don’t know. By the fifth day, they will be saving their new friend a
seat. YMCA Camp Mason is designed to bring together children from diverse
backgrounds, providing an ideal environment for making lasting friendships.

Your Child will go Screen Free and Connect to the Outdoors: Our beautiful natural
environment allows your kid to disconnect from their daily digital routines and connect
with the outdoors. We offer a huge range of activities that your child will love, from
hiking and kayaking to swimming and nature crafts and so much more.

If you are looking to provide your child with a screen-free, well-rounded, enriching
experience and THE BEST SUMMER EVER, register today at www.campmason.org or
call us at 908-362-8217.

Camp Mason is truly a transformative place. Having been affiliated with the camp for over 30 years, I can say that the experiences I have had there have significantly shaped me as a friend, partner, and leader. I’ve made lifelong friends and I will forever be connected with the camp.

I have been involved with many camps in my life and worked at Camp Mason during the 1960’s and attended several Alumni Reunions over the years. It was the best experience in my life that really changed my life and provided me the opportunity for me to find out what is important in life. I actually believe that my years as “naturalist” at Camp Mason was the best job I ever had, even though my 32 years with the USDA Forest Service was wonderful. The camp has always provided the staff and kids with the greatest opportunity to live and play in harmony with a diverse group of people in a diverse natural environment,
giving all a chance to enjoy and learn so much from the variety of activities available to them. I always get excited about returning to the camp to visit and feel the love that is there. I met my sweetheart (Laurie) at the camp over 50 years ago, and reunited with her over 25 years ago. So the Camp Mason is extra special to me.

Camp Mason! What a location with excellent facilities. Well trained staff and an amazing group of core leadership staff. Quality meal service in a true Camp Dining Hall that explodes with fun at all gatherings. After 125 years Camp Mason has it. Program activities that excite all campers. Come for a visit, explore the grounds, meet the staff. Then stay for the summer

I wouldn’t be half the man, husband, or father I am today without Camp Mason — a place that genuinely transforms lives. From my years as a camper, CIT, and counselor in the 1980s, to the past 15 years returning for family camp with my kids, to now serving in my sixth year on the Board of Trustees… Camp Mason is in my DNA. There’s a reason so many alumni call it the “Happiest Place on Earth.” (We like Disneyland too — just not as much as Camp Mason. 😉)

We love Camp Mason and can’t say enough good things about it. It truly is a place where kids can be kids and develop lifelong friendships and memories. Charlotte, my 9 year old daughter, loved her experience spending two weeks outdoors doing a variety of fun activities with new friends from all over the world. The minute she gets home she starts talking about how much she wants to come back next year.
