I originally thought I would be utilizing Liz for help with normal new mom stuff…schedules, juggling nursing a newborn while taking care of a 2 1/2 year old, crazy postpartum hormones, etc. What I didn’t know was that she would be a crutch for me when my baby daughter was admitted to the NICU for 2+ weeks, and then sent home with an apnea monitor. Liz was a source of information, education, and support when I needed it most. If she didn’t have an answer to a question I had, she would instantly get back to me — regardless of if it was a Sunday afternoon and she was camping with her family. Most importantly, Liz continued to check in on me, the baby, and the rest of my family once all of the excitement died down. I was lucky to have her as a resource, and as a friend, during one of the scariest, yet happiest times of my life.
