Act II Playhouse

Act II Playhouse is a professional nonprofit theater in Ambler, PA, known for its intimate 130-seat venue and high-quality productions. Since 1998, it has offered a mix of comedies, musicals, and original works, along with classes and family-friendly programming.

• Stephen King’s Misery (Oct 7–Nov 9): When bestselling author Paul Sheldon is rescued from a car crash by his “number one fan,” Annie Wilkes, he believes he’s in good hands—but his relief quickly turns to terror.
• Most Wonderful Time (Dec 2– Jan 4): Act II Playhouse presents a brand-new holiday cabaret filled with songs, laughter, and good cheer. Tony Braithwaite returns to the stage with some of the Playhouse’s favorite performers for a festive evening sure to brighten the season.

Bucks County Playhouse

Bucks County Playhouse, located in New Hope on the Delaware River, is a historic non-profit professional theater known for high-quality live performances year-round. Founded in 1939 in a former grist mill, it has welcomed many renowned performers. After major renovations and reopening in 2012, the Playhouse offers a full mainstage season—including family-friendly shows—along with education programs and outreach, supporting both new works and classic revivals.

• Elf The Musical (Dec 6–Dec 21): Based on the beloved holiday film, Elf follows Buddy, a human raised by elves at the North Pole, as he travels to New York City to find his real family, spreading Christmas cheer and laughter along the way. Perfect for the whole family!

Montgomery Theater

Roxy Ballet & The Mill Ballet School

Frenchtown, NJ

Roxey Ballet brings world-class dance training and performances to Hunterdon County, NJ, and Bucks County, PA. Evolving from a youth ballet into a professional touring company, Roxey Ballet now boasts over 70 repertory works and regularly stages full-length ballets. Roxey Ballet presents a full season of performances running from September through June. Highlights include a fall mainstage production, the beloved holiday tradition of The Nutcracker, a winter performance, and spring shows featuring classic children’s stories.

Storybook Musical Theater

Storybook Musical Theatre is a nonprofit theater company dedicated to providing high-quality musical adaptations of children’s stories and fairy tales. Established in 1993, the company performs original productions designed for young audiences, typically around one hour in length, at the Mandell Campus Theater.

• Adventures in Toyland (Dec 16–Dec 30): Watch as Pirate Pete, Princess Ballerina Belle, and the other toys come to life to help their young friend Michael overcome his fears on a thrilling journey around the world—all without ever leaving the playroom.

Town and Country Players
