We have a wide variety of entertainment for your calendar to keep your family from cabin fever so grab your winter gear and let’s get going with our Bucks County Winter Break Survival Guide!

Local Tips for Parents

  1. Plan Ahead: Many venues offer winter break programs, but they fill up quickly. Book your spots early.
  2. Mix It Up: Alternate between active days and quieter activities to prevent burnout (yours and theirs).
  3. Weather Watch: Keep an eye on forecasts and have backup plans ready. A snow day can quickly derail outdoor plans.
  4. Local Libraries: Don’t forget our excellent Bucks County Free Library System. Each branch offers winter break programming, from storytimes to craft workshops.

Open Year Round, Monday – Saturday: 10am to 5pm, Sunday: Noon to 5pm

If you want to switch it up, learn about Bucks County’s beloved Doll Carolers in Chalfont PA. Though their Visitor Center and Christmas Museum are open year-round, winter break makes for the perfect time to visit. Start with a short film about our company’s history inside a Victorian theater. Next walk down a cobblestone street scene straight out of Dickens’ London and peer through the windows of shops and homes filled with Christmas displays. Then onto the museum with hundreds of Carolers and Kindles on display in heartwarming vignettes, as well as depictions of Christmas traditions from around the world.
