A Space for Families to Thrive
Michelle El Khoury is the founder of Yogamazia in Richboro, PA, where she creates a holistic wellness space for families navigating parenthood. Combining her 20+ years in corporate healthcare with her yoga, childbirth education, and doula experience, Michelle supports parents through pregnancy, early parenting, and life transitions. Her approach blends education, mindfulness, and community connection, helping families feel empowered, confident, and supported at every stage.
From Healthcare Executive to Wellness Innovator
After a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, Michelle left her executive role to pursue her passion for maternal and family wellness. She founded Yogamazia to provide guidance, emotional support, and education for parents, addressing critical gaps in maternal health, children’s wellness, and community connection. “The goal has always been to help families bridge the gap between professional leadership and parenthood,” Michelle explains.
Business Evolution
Yogamazia has evolved from a physical yoga studio focused on prenatal, postnatal, and children’s wellness into a comprehensive maternal wellness hub. Michelle formalized her proprietary S.M.A.R.T. Journey to Parenting™ framework, applying strategic business principles to life transitions to help working parents and caregivers set goals, build resilience, and thrive. She also launched a virtual hub, offering coaching, digital courses, and an online community that serves families nationally and globally, providing a space for questions, peer support, and expert guidance beyond the studio walls. “It’s very different from a mommy Facebook group,” she notes. “This is evidence-based, practical support for life transitions. Members ask questions, and we provide guidance on everything from birth decisions to postpartum wellness.”
Risks, Rewards, and Recognition
Leaving a six-figure executive role was a risk, but Michelle says the rewards have been worth it. “When I hear stories about the lives we’ve impacted—from pregnant women to new parents, children, teachers, and schools—that is why I do this,” she says.
In March 2025, Michelle was featured in the New York Post alongside NYT bestselling author Susan Verde in a story highlighting maternal wellness and self-care. She also launched the LinkedIn newsletter Diary of a S.M.A.R.T. Parent, sharing insights for women leaders and professionals navigating life transitions. Michelle has delivered keynote speeches and workshops for organizations including the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce and the NJ chapter of the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists, inspiring audiences with her holistic approach to leadership from a parenting lens.
Community Impact & Leadership Roles
Michelle’s commitment to community remains at the heart of Yogamazia. She was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) Bucks County and continues to serve as a Global Ambassador and Advisory Committee Member for Yoga Gives Back. She advances maternal health equity through panels for March of Dimes and advisory roles with Maternity Care Coalition and Jefferson Abington Hospital. By combining hands-on support, educational programming, and advocacy, Michelle strengthens families while fostering broader social impact.
Looking Ahead
Michelle continues to evolve her programs, balancing in-person and virtual offerings while expanding her reach to parents, professionals, and organizations. She aims to grow her S.M.A.R.T. framework, connect more families to evidence-based resources, and create tools that help parents lead with presence, resilience, and confidence. “It’s about evolving while staying true to our purpose—supporting families, guiding parents, and creating a healthier, more inclusive world,” Michelle says. Through Yogamazia, Michelle empowers women, nurtures children, and strengthens communities—helping families thrive, one mindful step at a time.
