Is there anything that tastes more like fall than an apple picked freshly off a tree? Ok, maybe a pumpkin latte, but before we move onto pumpkin spice, let’s take a moment to appreciate apples.

Apple picking is a classic fall tradition and for good reason — apples are delicious no matter what your age. Whether you’re on a date or you’ve got the whole family in tow, it’s always a fun and beautiful time walking through the orchards.

Below is a guide to your apple picking season in Bucks County (and just beyond). Check out one (or more!), as each orchard offers something different, from fall festivals to homemade baked goodies!

Go Apple Picking in Bucks County

As the leaves begin to turn and air turns crisp, it’s the perfect time to head out to one of Bucks County’s apple orchards. Whether you’re filling your basket with juicy Honeycrisps or tart Granny Smiths, local farms offer a variety of apples ripe for the picking. From family-friendly outings to scenic weekend adventures, apple picking in Bucks County is a sweet way to savor the season.

Hausman Fruit Farm

2824 Limeport Pike, Coopersburg

Located just 15 minutes north of Quakertown in Lehigh Valley, Hausman Fruit Farm offers pick your own apples during their apple and fall festival weekends, Saturdays and Sundays from 10-5 pm, while supplies last. Follow them on their socials to see what varieties of apples are ready for picking.

Phillips Farms

91 Crabapple Hill Road and 564 Milford-Warren Glen Road, Milford, NJ

Tucked away in Milford, New Jersey, Phillips Farm offers a charming apple-picking experience perfect for a fall day trip. With a wide variety of apples ripening throughout the season, visitors can stroll through scenic orchards and fill their baskets at their own pace.  Entry and parking are free, but they do charge a $5 minimum picking fee per person. Pick you own is available Saturday and Sundays from 9 to 6 pm (last check-in is 5:30 pm).

Rustic Valley Orchard

1220 Upper Stump Road, Chalfont

Rustic Valley Orchard offers the perfect blend of fall fun and farm-fresh flavor. Pick from 12 varieties of apples across 13 beautiful acres, open for picking Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM. Afterward, enjoy homemade ice cream, fresh-baked goods from their scratch bakery, and a delicious bite from their full-service deli. Be sure to check back for seasonal events like their festive Pumpkin Palooza the whole family will love.

Shady Brook Farm

931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

Your fall experience in Bucks County wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Shady Brook Farm. Enjoy a hayride through the orchard to pick your own apples and stay for family fun with inflatable attractions during their Fall Fest. Pick your own fields are open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am – 5 pm (last wagon ride leaves at 3:30 pm). Click here to reserve your apple picking pass.

Solebury Orchards

3325 Creamery Road, New Hope

At Solebury Orchards, apples take center stage. Located in the heart of Bucks County, the orchard invites you to pick your own fresh apples or buy a bushel from their market. In addition to their their high quality fruit, the farm is known for their homemade favorites like apple sauce, cider, and cider donuts. They are open for apple picking on Thursday – Sunday from 9 am – 6 pm. Reservations are required during the weekend.

Solly Farm

707 Almshouse Road, Warminster

At Solly’s Farm, a family-run farm in Warminster, pick-your-own homegrown crops like apples are available on Saturdays and Sundays during the fall season. You can choose to walk to the orchard for free or take a hayride for $2-$3 per person. Don’t forget to stop by their bakery and market to take home delicious pies and baked goods.

Styer Orchard

97 Styers Lane, Langhorne

Hop on a free hayride out to the orchard at Styer Orchard, where you can pick from acres of apples, including favorites like Empire and Gala. Check their social media for updates on which varieties are ripe and ready. After picking, swing by the market for fresh apple cider donuts—a must-try treat. The orchard is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM, with the last tractor ride leaving at 5:30 PM. Don’t forget to bring your own bags or containers for picking!

Tabora Farm

1104 Upper Stump Road, Chalfont

Beginning the first week of September, Tabora Farm offers daily apple picking in their scenic orchards. After gathering your apples, stop by the farm market for homemade pies and their delicious apple cider donuts.

Terhune Orchards

13 Van Kirk Road, Princeton, NJ

At Terhune Orchards, fall means apple season — and there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The orchard features dwarf apple trees, making it easy for kids and adults alike to reach and pick fruit without the need for ladders or tools. With a wide variety of crisp, juicy apples available, guests can pick by the bag, which must be purchased at check-in for anyone age 4 and up.

Apple picking takes place at their 13 Van Kirk Road location, just a short distance from the main farm. The orchard is cashless and accepts credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Venmo.
