Every June, the LGBTQ+ community gets together to celebrate Pride Month, a joyful celebration of one’s liberty, identity, and dignity, and the positive contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals. And this year the festivities are only getting bolder.
Gathered here are family-friendly, Pride-themed events that both educate and entertain. They offer an opportunity to learn more about LGBTQ+ issues and celebrate diversity — as a family.

Doylestown’s 4th Pride Festival

Various Locations Throughout Doylestown
With the goal of celebrating diverse sexual orientations and gender identities in the Doylestown community, a collection of local organizations and businesses came together to create this local tradition. The multi-day event will feature a series of film screenings, drag brunch, a block party, music day, and various pop-up events and celebrations throughout the community. Love Surf at Pride – Painting With a Twist
June 1, 7 to 9 pm
2337 Street Rd, Bensalem
To celebrate Pride Month, Painting With a Twist in Bensalem is hosting a special class. Commemorate the holiday with friends by painting a beautiful rainbow wave that curls into the shape of a heart. This class is for those 12 years and older and tickets must be reserved ahead of class.
Bucks-Mont PRIDE Festival
Sunday, June 25, 12 to 5 pm
Abington Art Center, 515 Meetinghouse Rd, Jenkintown
SAGA, a program of The Welcome Project PA, is proudly hosting the third annual Bucks-Mont PRIDE Festival at the Abington Art Center. Enjoy live music, food, community resources, family-friendly activities, and more at this free, indoor/outdoor event brought to you by Montgomery County’s LGBT+ community center, which has been providing support, education, advocacy, and resources since 2017.
Perkasie Pride Festival
Saturday, June 24, 9 am to 12 pm
S. 7th Street, Perkasie
All month long, Perkasie Borough is celebrating Pride Month, organized by Perkasie Pride, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure a welcoming and affirming community for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families and their allies. Be sure to check their website for the newest updates on events, like their Pride celebration at the Farmer’s Market on June 24th, or their family friendly Drag Brunch on June 17th.
Please Touch Museum Pride Celebration

The Philadelphia Zoo
Philadelphia Zoo celebrates Pride Month with the return of Pride Day. This all-ages experience is a great opportunity to get outdoors with family, friends and/or significant others, enjoy the animals, and celebrate the awesome diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. Connect with local LGBTQIA+ and allied organizations, enjoy Pride-themed decor and animal enrichment throughout the zoo, and more. Free with zoo admission.
