Scarecrow Shuffle 8k, 5k and Kid’s Run & 2 Miler at Peddler’s Village

Get ready for a festive and fun-filled race day at Peddler’s Village for the Scarecrow Shuffle 8k, 5k and Kid’s Run & 2 Miler, where participants of all ages can run, walk, and celebrate the fall season. Whether coming for the races, the costumes, or the charming autumn atmosphere, there’s something for everyone at this seasonal event.

Event Day Schedule & Details:

Suggested arrival time: 7:30 – 8:30 AM
Pre-race announcements: 8:45 AM
National Anthem: 8:55 AM

🎃🍁 Race Start Times 🍂🎃

  • 1/2 Mile Kids’ Run: 9:00 AM

  • 8K Race: 9:10 AM

  • 5K Run/Walk: 9:15 AM

  • 2 Mile Fun Run: 9:20 AM

Costume Fun:
Participants are encouraged to dress as scarecrows in honor of Scarecrows in the Village, one of Peddler’s Village’s most beloved fall attractions. Halloween costumes are also welcome and add to the festive spirit.

Anyone who comes dressed as a scarecrow or a pumpkin will automatically be entered into the Scarecrow Shuffle costume contest. (Costumes are not required—just a fun way to celebrate.)

After the Race:
Stick around to explore Scarecrows in the Village, featuring a collection of larger-than-life scarecrows on display throughout Peddler’s Village. Attendees can stroll through the exhibits and vote for their favorites in this annual community tradition.
