Newtown Holiday Parade
Get ready to kick off the holiday season at the annual Newtown Holiday Parade! This beloved community tradition brings together families, local businesses, performers, and festive floats for a joyful celebration in the heart of downtown Newtown.
The parade features marching bands, dance groups, antique cars, first responders, and a variety of creative floats that fill the streets with holiday spirit. Keep an eye out for the grand finale when Santa makes his special appearance, spreading cheer to children and adults alike.
Arrive early to enjoy pre-parade activities including face painting, balloon art, tasty treats, and other family-friendly fun. Whether you’re a longtime resident or visiting for the first time, the Newtown Holiday Parade is the perfect way to celebrate the season with your community.
And don’t miss your chance to be part of history in the making! Join everyone after the parade in front of The Green Parrot as we attempt to break a World Record!
The parade promptly kicks off at 12:15PM from South State Street at the Stocking Works. It then continues north to Washington Avenue and makes a left turn, then turns right onto Sycamore Street, ending at the corner of Sycamore St. and Durham Rd. Parade announcers will be located at Goodnoe Corner next to the Green Parrot.
