Monarch Festival
September 14, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Join Cheltenham Township in the first Monarch Festival, spreading awareness of the importance of monarchs and other pollinators and celebrating new pollinator habitat in Glenside’s Grove Park!
This event will include the following activities and partners:
– StoryWalk and Story time with Glenside Library
– Seed giveaways and information from the Environmental Advisory Council
– Face painting and a scavenger hunt with Parks & Recreation
– A craft with local artist Rebecca Schultz
– See the new dedicated pollinator garden at Grove Park, which will support the Monarch Pledge
– Friends of Grove Park
– Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership
– Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation
