Cherry Grove Farm Cow Parade

The annual Cow Parade is a beloved tradition that celebrates and honors the cows who provide fresh milk each day, the foundation for all of the farm’s handcrafted cheeses. On November 1st, following the morning milking, visitors can watch as the cows—adorned with garlands, bells, and flowers—parade from the milking parlor, down the lane, and around the field before returning to their pasture. This festive procession is inspired by the Swiss custom of welcoming cows back from summer grazing in the mountains.
The day also features an autumnal festival with hay rides, face painting, a bouncy house, children’s games, local food, live music, craft beer, and a variety of artisanal vendors. This year’s event includes live demonstrations of butter churning, blacksmithing, and glass blowing—and if lucky, guests may even meet Sweetie the hawk, brought by Rocky the beekeeper.
The highlight of the day is the Cow Parade itself, and the celebration concludes with a bonfire (weather permitting), where s’mores will be available for purchase.
The price of admission/parking is $20 per car, NOT per person. Get your tickets early to secure a parking spot and expedite your way into the event.
