SUMMARY:MLK Jr. Celebration at Abington Township Municipal Building
DESCRIPTION:The Abington Township Human Relations Commission invites the community to its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration on Monday\, January 19\, 2026\, from 10:00–11:00 AM at the Abington Township Municipal Building (2nd Floor\, 1176 Old York Road\, Abington\, PA 19001). \nThis meaningful program will honor the life\, legacy\, and enduring impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Highlights include a performance by the Abington Choral Club and the presentation of Community Service Awards to Commissioner Jeffery Browne\, the Abington Township Public Library\, and other local leaders who exemplify service\, equity\, and justice. \nIn the spirit of Dr. King’s commitment to service\, the event will also support the Sox in the City project. Attendees are encouraged to donate new\, unopened packages of socks for The Everywhere Project. Socks may be any size for adults or children\, with white athletic socks preferred. \nAll are welcome to attend this time of reflection\, celebration\, and community service.
