Conquering Cuisine presents The Food of Italy, a fun and informative session where parent and child will work side-by-side, with the guidance of an instructor, to prep and cook each of the items on a pre-selected menu. This week’s menu features pasta e fagioli with Italian sausage, sun-dried tomato and chicken pasta with basil, and a pear, walnut and mixed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette! All equipment, recipes, and ingredients are provided. Class runs approximately 2 hours and is geared toward children over 10 years old. Price is for both parent and child.

In addition to demonstrations of ice cutting, hauling, and handling, visitors will also help pull ice blocks up the ramp to the ice house, chip ice to make ice cream, and make an ice candle to take home. All this PLUS food and snow cone samples make this a definite top 10 event in our eyes! Please note that there is a $4 materials fee for the ice candle craft.
