Over the past three plus years we’ve be home a lot, but there are so many places to get out and have some fun! When the rain strikes and boredom hits, these indoor locations for kids are sure to be boredom busters for any age group!

Altitude Trampoline Park

More than just a collection of books, the Bucks County Free Library offers an extensive list of in-person and virtual services, literacy-rich activities for families, from children storytimes to bookclubs and classes for all ages. And we haven’t even gotten started on their play areas! Check out the Langhorne Branch, which is home to Penn’s Little Village, a unique, interactive play space for children which features a market, mechanic, fire station and more designed to help children learn through play!

Bucks County Children’s Museum

The Bucks County Children’s Museum is an idea a local elementary and special education teacher had dreamed of for many years. With the idea of raising awareness and a “sense of place”, she wanted to find a way to educate other young families about the uniqueness of the county while preserving its history and beauty. Bucks County Ice Sports Center

This local favorite owned by Black Bear Sports Group is open seven days a week throughout the year, and features a Public Skate nearly every day of the week. Admission to their Public Skate costs $16.00 and skate rentals are complimentary, or you can bring your own. Ice schedule changes regularly so be sure to give the rink a call before you go.

Doylestown Rock Gym

For the kid that loves climbing all over your furniture. Doylestown Rock Gym boasts more than 12,000 square feet of indoor rocking climbing surface, including overhands, boulders, chimneys, caves, cracks and lead walls. Fonthill Castle

Take a tour of Fonthill Castle, the former residence of legendary tile maker, archaeologist and scholar- Henry Chapman Mercer. Built in the early 20th century, this palatial structure is one of three Mercer buildings and is most noted for its unique architecture and impressive ceramics. In addition, a collection of decorative tiles, furniture and paintings make up the permanent exhibits at the this castle. A tour of the castle takes you through the life of its legendary resident, and also throws light on some of his most notable work.

At Thunderbird Lanes, not much has changed since it opened for business in the area 50 years ago. And why should it? Fun is timeless!
