It’s the ultimate Halloween date night. \nFounded in 1981 by best-selling author and pioneering ghost investigator Adi-Kent Thomas Jeffrey\, Ghost Tours of New Hope is the oldest ghost tour in Pennsylvania and the second oldest in the United States. Jeffrey once said\, “There are more ghosts per square mile in New Hope\, Pennsylvania than anywhere else in the world that I have investigated.” According to Jeffrey\, more than 10% of those who take the tour experience something paranormal for themselves.

DESCRIPTION:Bring the whole family to Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope on Saturday\, September 26\, for the fifth annual Preserve @ Play community day. \nTheme\nThis year’s theme\, “Nutty for Seeds\, Nuts and Berries\,” celebrates the role that seeds\, nuts\, and berries play in supporting native ecosystems. Through interactive activities and demonstrations\, visitors will discover how these tiny natural wonders help sustain plants\, insects\, birds\, and wildlife while fueling the interconnected food web. \nActivities\nFamilies can enjoy Nature Play activities and hands-on crafts throughout the Preserve’s walking trails and exhibits\, including favorite destinations like New Pond\, Sycamore Hollows\, and the Storybook Trail. At the Stone Bridge main stage\, enjoy live music from Lolly Hopwood\, a woodland dance party\, storytime\, and an interactive wildlife presentation from Aark Wildlife Education Center. Note: Most activities are designed for children ages 12 and under. \nThe Visitor Center parking lot will feature two food trucks offering both savory and sweet treats for purchase\, family picnic seating\, face painting\, and other fun activities. Stop by the Twinleaf Book & Gift Shop to browse family-friendly books\, T-shirts\, and nature-inspired gifts\, or take a break in the Auditorium\, which will serve as a Quiet Zone for birdwatching and a more peaceful atmosphere. \nTickets\nAdmission is $20 per non-member ticket and covers entry for up to six guests—you don’t need a ticket for each person. Admission is free for Preserve members and ACCESS Card holders. \nPre-registration is strongly encouraged. A limited number of tickets will be available at the entry gate on the day of the event. \nTime\nThe event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.\, rain or shine.
