DESCRIPTION:The Doylestown Memorial Day Parade is conducted annually for the purpose of honoring those American Veterans whose sacrifices in defense of our nation and its democratic ideals are responsible for the freedoms we enjoy today. Celebrating its 158th anniversary in 2026\, it is one of the oldest Memorial Day Parades in the United States. \nFollowing a flag-raising ceremony at War Memorial Field\, the parade will begin at Central Bucks High School West and travel through town\, ending near East Court Street. \nTo ensure a safe route\, no parking will be permitted along the parade route starting at 5:00 AM. Vehicles remaining after that time will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please plan ahead and use alternate parking. \nFree parking will be available for attendees in the Bucks County parking garage (Broad\, Doyle\, and Union Streets) from 9:00 AM until one hour after the parade ends. \nParade route:\n-East on West Court Street\n-East on West State Street\n-North on Main Street\n-East on East Court Street\n-Ending at Doylestown Cemetery \nThe event culminates in a 30-minute memorial service\, during which the United Veterans of Doylestown lay wreaths in honor of our fallen heroes.
