DESCRIPTION:Terhune Orchards offers fun and educational activities for children through its Read & Explore winter and spring series. These engaging programs are designed to spark young minds and encourage curiosity about nature and the world around them. \nChildren gather inside one of the orchard’s heated buildings for a hands-on educational program that includes a themed lesson and story time. After the program\, participants enjoy a creative activity to take home. Activities may include decorating a gingerbread cookie\, making a paper bag animal\, building a bird feeder\, or planting seeds in the greenhouse. \nRead & Explore programs are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. Each session lasts approximately one hour. \nCost: $12 per child\, which includes all materials and activities.Children must be accompanied by an adult. \nFeb 17 & 21 – Fur\, Feathers\, Fluff: Keeping Warm in the Winter \nMarch 3 & 7 – Birds and Bird Houses \nMarch 17 & 21 – Getting Ready for Spring \nApril 7 & 11 – Composting
