SUMMARY:Earth Day Cleanup at Silver Lake Park
DESCRIPTION:Help the Earth by cleaning up the park! SLNC will be holding a Volunteer Cleanup to celebrate Earth Day (Every Day)! \n\nParticipants should be prepared to get wet and dirty\, and bring a refillable water bottle. This event is Rain or Shine.\nThe meeting place for this event is the Silver Lake PARK Pavilion\, which is located along the paved/accessible path\, near Silver Lake\, past the children’s playground. There you will find SLNC staff and sign-in.\nFeel free to bring your own lunch and stay for a picnic afterward!\n\nRegistration is required if participating in this Event. Register at SilverLakeNatureCenter.org or call 215-785-1177. Thanks!\n*Volunteers under age 18 must have an accompanying parent/legal guardian with them for the duration of the event. No exceptions. SUMMARY:The Rainbow Room's Weekly Youth/YA Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Ever feel like you need a space where you can just be your authentic self? Somewhere free and open\, where you will be accepted for who you are — regardless of who you love or how you identify. \nThe Rainbow Room is a place where you can come as you are. No judgment. No pressure. Find support\, information\, friendship\, and validation\, every Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. \nThe Rainbow Room has been meeting in Doylestown since 2002 and welcomes all youth\, ages 14 to 21. On the fourth Wednesday of every month youth ages 12 to 13 to join\, with guardian or parent consent. Email RainbowRoom@ppkeystone.org for a consent form. Due to the wider age range on 4th Wednesdays\, the themes and activities are put together with the youngest members in mind (think: crafts and games!). \nThis program is led by a team of award-winning\, trauma-informed\, sexuality education professionals with advanced degrees and certifications in relevant fields.
