Beginning in January 2024, The NASH Foundation will be sponsoring a FREE support group for families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss every last Tuesday of the month. The parent support group will be led by licensed professional counselor Julia Cuccaro-Green and the founder of The NASH Foundation, Heather Palmer. The goal is to provide support to those navigating parenting after loss, and to help build relationships within the local loss community.
The support group will be hosted at Playpad Bucks, an open concept indoor play space for children with a central kitchen area. The parent session will run approximately 45 minutes, followed by a 30 minute optional playtime for families with their children. You are encouraged to bring your children to play both during and after the group, and also welcome to bring an additional support person if a child is under 3 or unable to play independently. It is up to your family dynamic to choose what works best for you during this group. One parent may choose to participate in the group while another keeps an eye on the little ones, or a grandparent may tag along if all attending parents wish to participate in the adult session. This will be a flexible and open-minded group setting and we will adapt to help everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
At this time, the support group is limited to 15 total families. Sign up as soon as possible, and contact The NASH Foundation (angelbabynash@gmail.com) at least 24 hours in advance if you are no longer able to attend.
