Explore the vital relationship between wildlife and the plants they rely on in their ecosystems during Newtown Townships’ session on Host Plants and the Wildlife That Depend on Them. The class will highlight fascinating pairings like Monarchs and Common Milkweed, Pennsylvania Fireflies and Sedges, and Tiger Swallowtails and Tulip Trees. Plus, you’ll get hands-on by creating a biodegradable origami pot and planting a native species to take home—your first step in building a mini wildlife habitat of your own! Two sessions will be offered on August 23 at 9:30 am and 11 am.
For ages 16+
