4th of July Events in Glenside (Parade & Fireworks)

Held annually on July 4th, this beloved three-part celebration bursts with patriotic spirit from morning to night. The day begins with a children’s program in a local park, followed by a vibrant, crowd-pleasing parade at 4:00 PM, and concludes with a dazzling fireworks show after dark over Abington High School’s athletic fields. All events are free and proudly organized by the non-profit Greater Glenside Patriotic Association (GGPA) and its dedicated volunteers.
In recent years, this action-packed celebration has drawn record-breaking crowds, earning its place as the largest family-friendly Independence Day event in the Greater Philadelphia tri-state suburbs.
