I can not say enough positive things about my experience with Brooke and Allie. My first birth was at a hospital and while I had a very detailed birth plan, almost every choice I made was challenged by the medical staff. Informed consent is very important to me and I felt like at my first birth it was almost nonexistent. Not only are Brooke and Allie fantastic midwives, but gaining proper consent is a huge part of their practice. Before they did anything they would always make sure you were aligned with the next steps and would also thoroughly explain what they were going to do so that you were properly informed. My homebirth with them was the most peaceful and wonderful experience I have ever had (night and day from my first birth). They are both so personable and supported me so well through my pregnancy and even into my postpartum stage. I would 100% recommend them to anyone considering a homebirth and would without hesitation use them again if I were to have another pregnancy. You canโt go wrong with Malachite Midwifery, they will truly become part of your family during your pregnancy journey!

My husband and I thoughtfully chose Allie to work with us for our second pregnancy and birth. To say she was remarkable to work with wouldnโt be capturing the magic she brings. To say she was thorough wouldnโt detail the beautiful way in which she held space for me time and time again while I processed emotions, thoughts, and decisions. Allieโs wisdom, knowledge, and calm support influenced such an ease into my pregnancy.
We had the delight of both Allie and Brooke attending my birth. I had met Brooke a couple of times prior to my birth and knew she was the perfect addition to my birth team. Allie and Brooke have a beautiful synergy. We are all lucky they found one another to work with. Allie and Brooke are incredibly gifted in contributing to a beautiful birthing experience. They went above and beyond what I could have ever expected.
My family will forever cherish everything about this birth and how held we felt by Allie and Brooke through the journey of pregnancy to postpartum.

I have so many friends that have had home births and I swear nobody has had the experience that any of Allie and Brooke’s clients have had! They are the absolute best at what they do. No dogmatic thinking, they are masters of truly personalizing care and discerning what part of their expertise you need! And of course give you the world if that’s what you want. I love these ladies for making me feel so held during my first birth. It went smoothly (one complication with placenta which they handled gracefully), but had there been bigger complications, I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else beside me. Love you and forever thankful for you ladies.

My experience as the husband of someone having a home birth could not have been greater. Brooke was so fantastic to my wife (and me), and the experience was better than we could have ever expected. She explained everything that was happening, made my wife feel comfortable, and handled every situation with genuine care. Her ability to exude compassionate warmth under high-pressure moments put our whole family at ease. This was everything that we were hoping for out of the home birth experience. If we are fortunate enough to have another child, I can’t imagine a better way to welcome that child into the world than with Brooke, Allie, and Roslyn navigating the birth.
